Washington: where chaos, parking barriers, a great fruit/veggie platter, and collapsing table all come together.
Richmond: where I question my life choices, go to the Edgar Allan Poe museum, eat for three, battle The Shirts, and buy emergency rice.
It was a gorgeous drive - the mountains were breathtaking. The twists and turns going through them, however, were not my favourite. By which I mean that by the time I recognized just how tense I was, I was actively telling myself to breathe and stop gripping the wheel so tight.
Do you have a ranked list of least favourite elevators? I do. These ones are at the top, or at least they are until the elevator at the venue in Washington. We’ll get to that one.
Why do one big/exciting/scary thing when you can pack three in at once, right? I mean, if your doctor - just before upping the dosage on your anxiety meds - isn’t going “why are you doing this to yourself?” then what’s the point, right? Right.
“Oh my god!” I exclaim loudly, causing several people to glance over at me. Understandable, that tone of shock isn't necessarily what you want to hear right before getting on a plane.
Things I discover exist when waiting for the train back to New York wondering why it is so packed, and why so many people are dressed up like Santa? SantaCon.
That is, by far, the most eventful thing that I experience in Jersey - thank goodness. There’s only a certain amount of “exploding car” levels of excitement I can handle, and I think that caps at one.
